It’s only been 8 months since we all started using the
“new and improved” version of Form I-9 only to find out
that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
has now made a few more tweaks and we will be required to
use the new version by 9/18/17.
The new form notes the version date in the lower left hand
corner of 07/17/17 N.
Current storage and retention rules have not changed.
The form offers some minor wording changes and renumbers
the list of documents in List C of acceptable documents.
Hopefully, this will be the last revision for some time.
The electronic version and the paper version of the I-9
can be obtained at the website below.
